Cognitive therapy is a brief and active treatment for anxiety, depression and many other types of difficulties. Sessions are usually just under one hour in length and are typically held every one to two weeks. A typical course of treatment is between 10 and 20 sessions. Preventing the recurrence of future problems is a usual topic of discussion and maintenance sessions can be scheduled at regular intervals to help maintain wellness.
